What an exciting past couple of weeks it's been with HAMILTON arriving in Costa Mesa. On behalf of Avenue of the Arts Costa Mesa, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, we are incredibly proud of our longstanding partnership and commitment to Segerstrom Center for the Arts. This year, we had the tremendous opportunity to sponsor the HAMILTON production for its tour at the Center and we couldn't have been more enthusiastic to offer our support.
As the most innovative libretto of our time, HAMILTON is one of the most revolutionary theatrical experiences. By utilizing hip-hop to blend American history with current politics, HAMILTON intersects cultural boundaries and reaches across generations. The result is a marriage between storytelling and hip-hop, just as the historical past mingles with the political present. Hamilton is also an important step forward for diversity and representation. The cast is made up of Black, Hispanic, and Asian American performers to illuminate what America looks like and symbolizes today.
In addition to our underwriting for the HAMILTON production at the Center, our hotel's on-site restaurant, Silver Trumpet Restaurant and Bar provided a three-course matinee luncheon on September 29th, featuring a menu inspired by cuisine from Alexander Hamilton's life experiences, such as Olive Oil Poached Cod, Crispy Berkshire Pork Belly, and Baked Caramel Apple with Vanilla Ice Cream. At the Bar & Lounge at Silver Trumpet, our innovative mixologist created Hamilton's Temptation cocktail, which was also served at the HAMILTON Benefit Performance & Celebration.
The HAMILTON Benefit Performance & Celebration on Thursday, October 6, 2022, provided support for Segerstrom Center for the Arts and its nonprofit Education and Community Engagement initiatives.
Representing Avenue of the Arts Costa Mesa Hotel, our Sales & Marketing team was joined by some of our proud partners like FURIWA, Orange County Wine Society, and more.
