Marriott chose The Westin Anaheim Resort as a winner given Wincome Hospitality brought a brand-new AAA Four-Diamond hotel to the Anaheim market, helped build brand equity by showcasing forward-thinking design and services while executing efficient and thoughtful pre-opening strategies.
With the essence of the hotel’s heritage and design rooted in Anaheim’s citrus history, The Westin Anaheim Resort exemplified Westin’s biophilia approach to hotel design by incorporating many natural elements inside and outside of the hotel such as placing live potted citrus trees near the front entrance of the hotel, in the lobby of the hotel, and on the rooftop of the hotel as well as installing a living green wall behind the hotel check-in counter to foster a lively vibrant first impression for hotel guests.
Also awarded 4.5 AAA Diamonds and 5.0 on TripAdvisor, The Westin Anaheim Resort specifically features 618 guest rooms including 121 expansive suites with signature well-being amenities, including the Westin Heavenly® beds and bath features, most of which offer direct views of Disney California Adventure® Park. Standout accommodations include the Park View Suites, with 785 square feet of space equipped with a separate living and dining area and a spacious balcony, as well as the Presidential Suite, an impressive 2,000 square-foot suite with two bedrooms, walk-in closet, 2.5 bathrooms, full kitchen, a living and dining room, and an oversized balcony stretching the length of the suite overlooking Disneyland® Resort.
Besides offering spacious, upscale guestrooms and suites, the hotel incorporated the Westin brand’s state-of-the-art signature WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio; flexible meeting and event spaces with LED RGB lighting used throughout the ballroom and podium to create unique atmospheres and environments for any occasion; a heated outdoor pool with five private cabanas; and seven distinct restaurants and bars including RISE Rooftop Lounge, Anaheim’s largest rooftop bar with standout, magical views.
“We are truly honored by this prestigious recognition from Marriott International, and also so very thankful and proud of all the efforts put forth by the opening and management team of The Westin Anaheim Resort,” said Paul Sanford, CEO and Asset Manager for Wincome Hospitality. “In my thanks, I’d also like to include the many partners and support from the Anaheim City office including planning and economic development that helped us open such an incredible property.”
This isn’t the first award for Wincome Hospitality as their management team has previously won Marriott’s award for Hotel of the Year in both 2017 and 2018 in the Franchise Distinctive Premium Hotels category for Avenue of the Arts Costa Mesa, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, which is Wincome’s other AAA Four-Diamond hotel in Costa Mesa, California.
